About the Book

Love Your Organs, Love Yourself is the title of a new health book written by natural medicine practitioner, acupuncturist and advocate, Warren King, of Minnetonka. “Understanding the language your body speaks, so you can make sense of its symptoms, is an empowering message,” states King.

Written from the millennial vantage point of Oriental Medicine, the book is designed for the lay reader and includes information on the five elements; the body and organs; how nutrition impacts the organs, with recommendations for specific nourishing foods, herbs and cooking styles; and how emotions are directly affected by the organs.

The book also includes accessible and easy to read explanations of the five elements: Water, Metal, Wood, Earth and Fire; Chinese medicine; Yin and Yang, and more.

It’s important to make the connection between the body’s symptoms and any organ imbalance that may be responsible for the issue,” King explains. “Who would think that an occipital headache, hip pain or feeling of chronic frustration could be due to a gallbladder imbalance? My intention in writing this book is to help people learn what their organs actually do and how to bring them to a greater state of balance and health via tools like foods and herbs, acupressure and qi gong.
