Winter 2012 WARREN KING, L.AC. Greeting Friends, Do you know the root of the word Doctor doesnot mean healer but rather teacher. So I am getting inner direction to start doing more teaching. I will begin by sending out this newsletter more often. I'll share with you what I am learning by treating thousands of patients as well as what I am learning on the internet, in magazines, books, CD's and continuing education. I'll also pass on information that I'mgetting from my own intuition. In my own life I have added silent meditation to my practice, and spend about 15 minutes every other day before bed in meditation. Eat Organic While testing patients for the last few months it has been showing up for the majority of people that the fruits and vegetables that are highest in pesticides should be organic. The fruits that should only be eaten if organic are: Apples Blueberries Grapes (imported) Nectarines Peaches Pears Strawberries The vegetables that should be organic are: Celery Collards Kale Lettuce Potatoes Spinach Sweet Bell Peppers Pesticides interfere with the insects nervous and reproductive systems, so it is no wonder that they can mess us up as well. There are certain fish that are high in mercury that should likewise be avoided like: Tuna, Mackerel, Chilean Sea Bass and Orange Roughy Best to also avoid corn syrup, canola oil and tap water.
